Our Mission
Californians for Smarter Sustainability (CASS) convenes residents, businesses, and community-based organizations focused on ensuring California’s policymaking balances economic prosperity and quality of life alongside environmental protection.
We are concerned about the increase in state and local policies that are well intentioned, but which lack community input and have unintended consequences that are often detrimental to the lives of the most vulnerable Californians.
We bring Californians together to support the protection of our state’s environment, and we are focused on finding smart solutions to sustainability challenges that balance economic, social, and environmental outcomes for all Californians.
